In the old locomotive sheds
Hünfelder market hall

At the Markthalle 2023, visitors strolled past a total of 15 stalls offering both handicrafts and culinary delights. With a varied cultural program, to which also the brass class of the Jahnschule, the Rückerser village musicians, show dance groups from Steinbach and the Duo Zweiklang contributed, the guests were encouraged to linger.
The Schlitzer Kornbrennerei set a special accent with the first filling of a whisky barrel soaked in Aha. The two-and-a-half-year-old single malt is now to mature further in the 13th century barrel vaults, absorbing the fine herbal note of the Aha Excelsior. Managing Director Tobias Wiedelbach and Mayor Benjamin Tschesnok did not hesitate to fill the first jugs with the noble whisky into the cask.
The second Hünfelder market hall – and already a tradition? Mayor Benjamin Chesnok asked this question at the official opening. Thanks to their good attendance, the guests contributed to the event format becoming a tradition in Hünfeld.
As soon as the programme for the Markthalle 2024 is available, it will be published here. Enclosed is the program of the previous market hall.
